Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• 2–10 years of engineering experience in systems engineering, system integration, test engineering, or related field.
• Experience with requirements development, technical documentation, system testing, or verification activities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work across multidisciplinary engineering teams and communicate progress clearly.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, decompose, and manage system requirements with traceability and interface definitions.
• Support system architecture development, analyses, and trade studies to evaluate design options.
• Develop and execute test plans and procedures to verify and validate requirements.
• Analyze test data, troubleshoot deficiencies, and document corrective actions.
• Support hardware and software integration of PNT sensors and subsystems onto platforms.
• Participate in lab testing, hardware-in-the-loop testing, field trials, and demonstrations.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation including specifications and verification reports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical challenges throughout the lifecycle.

Job Description: IS4S is seeking highly skilled andmotivated Systems Engineer to support the development, integration, andverification of assured Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) systems working on-site in our Auburn, AL or Huntsville, AL location. Thesuccessful candidate will contribute to the design and development of resilientnavigation and timing solutions for platforms operating in challengingenvironments, including environments where GPS/GNSS may be degraded, denied, orunavailable.

This role offers the opportunity to work across the systemsengineering lifecycle, from translating operational needs into systemrequirements to developing test plans, conducting system-level testing,verifying performance, and integrating PNT capabilities onto operationalplatforms. The ideal candidate has a strong engineering foundation, excellentproblem-solving skills, and an interest in navigation, sensors, embeddedsystems, and resilient system architectures.

KeyResponsibilities

Develop,decompose, and manage system and subsystem requirements, including requirementstraceability and interface definitions.

Supportsystem architecture development, technical analyses, and trade studies toevaluate design alternatives and system performance.

Developand execute test plans and procedures to verify and validate systemrequirements.

Analyzetest data, troubleshoot system deficiencies, and document results andcorrective actions.

Supporthardware and software integration of PNT sensors and subsystems ontooperational platforms.

Participatein laboratory testing, hardware-in-the-loop testing, field trials, andplatform-level demonstrations.

Prepareand maintain technical documentation, including requirements specifications,interface documents, test procedures, and verification reports.

Collaboratewith multidisciplinary engineering teams to resolve technical challenges andsupport system development throughout the engineering lifecycle.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in SystemsEngineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, MechanicalEngineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

2–10 years of relevant engineering experience insystems engineering, system integration, test engineering, or a relatedtechnical field.

Experience supporting requirements development,technical documentation, system testing, or verification activities.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, andtroubleshooting skills.

Ability to work effectively acrossmultidisciplinary engineering teams.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to manage technical tasks, documentresults, and communicate progress in a collaborative engineering environment.

U.S. citizenship per 8 U.S.C. 1324(a)(2)(C) andability to obtain a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Positioning, Navigation, andTiming (PNT), GPS/GNSS, inertial navigation systems (INS), or navigationsensors.

Familiarity with assured PNT concepts, includingresilience to GPS/GNSS jamming, spoofing, interference, or signalunavailability.

Familiarity with military standards andspecifications

Experience developing and managing requirementsusing tools such as Jama Connect, Cameo Systems Modeler, or similar systemsengineering tools.

Familiarity with systems engineering standardsand practices, including requirements traceability, interface control,verification planning, and configuration management.

Experience with laboratory integration,hardware-in-the-loop testing, field testing, or platform integration.

Familiarity with data analysis tools such asMATLAB, Python, or similar engineering software.

Experience working on defense, aerospace, automotive, or other mission-criticalsystems.
