Job summary

Curt G. Joa, Inc. is seeking a Pneumatic Assembler to assemble, install, and test pneumatic systems for paper converting machinery. This role requires reading blueprints, wiring, and hydraulic components, with travel preferred and a focus on safe, accurate assembly.

Responsibilities include installing magnehelic components, assembling control boxes, routing tubing, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. Strong communication and collaboration are essential for proactive problem solving.

Qualifications

• Education generally equivalent to a high school diploma.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic schematics and other manufacturing instructions.
• Requires ability to perform basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and metric conversions.
• Requires good oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to collaborate with others (in person) to proactively develop solutions.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow entry-level blueprints, shop orders, specifications, and other instructions to build and assemble parts accurately and timely.
• Install magnehelic components and transducers with related plumbing.
• Assemble and install cable, wire, and pneumatic tubing/hose management devices such as cable tray and conduit.
• Assemble and install pneumatic and hydraulic control boxes.
• Install and terminate pneumatic, hydraulic, grease and oiler tubing on equipment.
• Sub-assemble pneumatic, hydraulic, grease and oiler components.
• Operate material handling equipment.
• Travel preferred; utilize overhead crane and rigging procedures.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Occasional department clean up and improvement projects.
