Job summary

The Charles Stark Draper Laboratory, Inc. in Cambridge, MA, seeks a leader for its Positioning, Navigation, and Timing Instrumentation Group. The role drives program concepting, recruitment, and cross-disciplinary collaboration to meet mission-focused needs.

The position is onsite in Draper’s Cambridge facility, with eligibility for a TS clearance and a strong emphasis on staff development. Advanced degrees are preferred; candidates with a PhD will be given strong consideration.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and written skills.
• Ability to present technical material to diverse audiences.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience supervising a team (10–20 people).
• Advanced degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage administrative details and career development for group members.
• Convey information from management to group members.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate group members.
• Write job requisitions, review resumes, and conduct interviews.
• Serve as Lead Subject Matter Expert for the area of specialty.
• Shape Draper’s technology offerings and identify new business areas.
