This is a hybrid role in Towson, MD (21204): 3 days/week onsite and 2 days/week remote.
Duration: 12-month contract with potential for extensions.
Schedule: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern, Monday to Friday.
Background:
Senior Project Manager needed to oversee Public Safety projects, including communication and coordination of daily project activities. Preference for candidates with Public Safety experience and PMI PMP certification.
Responsibilities:
- Manage specific project tasks and deliverables.
- Handle day-to-day project management, identify issues and risks, and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Ensure work aligns with scope, requirements, and is delivered on time and within budget.
- Identify critical paths, tasks, deadlines, testing, and acceptance criteria; suggest efficiency improvements.
- Monitor issues and provide resolution updates for status reports.
- Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Prepare meeting agendas and materials.
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 7 years of successful project management experience with large, high-profile, sensitive projects.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Experience managing business process, software, and hardware implementation projects using Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
- Proficiency in project documentation per PMI standards.
- Experience with project deliverables and SDLC documentation.
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Project, Excel, Word).
- Experience presenting to executive levels.
- Excellent organization and coordination skills.
- Ability to work full-time from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft Project Server and SharePoint.
- Experience working in government entities (federal, state, or local).
- Experience supporting public safety systems development and management.
