This is a hybrid role in Towson, MD (21204): 3 days/week onsite and 2 days/week remote.

Duration: 12-month contract with potential for extensions.

Schedule: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern, Monday to Friday.

Background:

Senior Project Manager needed to oversee Public Safety projects, including communication and coordination of daily project activities. Preference for candidates with Public Safety experience and PMI PMP certification.

Responsibilities:

• Manage specific project tasks and deliverables.
• Handle day-to-day project management, identify issues and risks, and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Ensure work aligns with scope, requirements, and is delivered on time and within budget.
• Identify critical paths, tasks, deadlines, testing, and acceptance criteria; suggest efficiency improvements.
• Monitor issues and provide resolution updates for status reports.
• Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Prepare meeting agendas and materials.

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 7 years of successful project management experience with large, high-profile, sensitive projects.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Experience managing business process, software, and hardware implementation projects using Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in project documentation per PMI standards.
• Experience with project deliverables and SDLC documentation.
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Project, Excel, Word).
• Experience presenting to executive levels.
• Excellent organization and coordination skills.
• Ability to work full-time from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Microsoft Project Server and SharePoint.
• Experience working in government entities (federal, state, or local).
• Experience supporting public safety systems development and management.
