Job Description

Position: Senior Project Manager

This is a hybrid role based in Towson, MD (21204), requiring 3 days/week onsite and 2 days/week remote.

Contract Duration: 12 months with potential extensions.

Schedule: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern, Monday to Friday.

Background:

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee the management, communication, and coordination of Public Safety projects, including day-to-day project management. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Public Safety and holding a PMI PMP certification.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage specific project work and oversee day-to-day project activities.
  • Identify issues and risks, recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure work aligns with scope, requirements, and is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Determine critical paths, tasks, testing, and acceptance criteria; suggest efficiency improvements.
  • Monitor issues and provide resolution updates in status reports.
  • Develop meeting agendas and documentation.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • At least 7 years of successful project management experience with large, high-profile, and sensitive projects.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience managing business process, software, and hardware implementation projects using Waterfall and/or Agile methodologies.
  • Proficiency in creating and managing project documentation per PMI standards.
  • Strong skills in project deliverables and documentation, including SDLC.
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Project, Excel, Word).
  • Experience delivering executive-level presentations and communications.
  • Exceptional organizational and coordination abilities.
  • Ability to work five days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Successful completion of a comprehensive background check.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience managing projects with Microsoft Project Server and SharePoint.
  • Previous experience in a government setting (Federal, State, or Local).
  • Experience supporting public safety systems development and management.
