Job summary

Peraton is hiring a PMO Systems Administrator to join our Cyber Mission business unit in Annapolis Junction, MD. The role supports the Program Management Office of a large enterprise engineering contract, with full-time hours at the contractor site.

The position requires strong Windows system administration, network troubleshooting, and IA knowledge; candidates must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level 1 requirements and hold an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. Excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Five (5) years' experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
• Must meet DoD Directive 8570 IAT Level 1 requirements (Security+ at a minimum).
• Computer Network Operations - at least one year in modern OSes and network architectures.
• Information Assurance - at least one year in certification and accreditation, architecture development, risk assessments, IA metrics.
• Experience patching/upgrading network switches, installing software on desktops, creating/editing security groups.
• Ability to perform physical IT hardware tasks (lifting up to 50 lbs, etc.).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
• Manage IT system infrastructure and related processes.
• Provide day-to-day operations support for desktops, network devices, and mobile devices.
• Offer Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution.
• Configure and manage Windows operating systems; install/load OS software.
• Troubleshoot and maintain network components; implement OS enhancements for reliability and performance.
