Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to provide system engineering, application and hardware support for a federal customer in Annapolis Junction, MD. This on-site role requires an active TS/SCI clearance and the ability to obtain a polygraph if not already held.

Work location is onsite five days a week. Responsibilities include administering Windows servers/workstations, monitoring health, troubleshooting complex issues, and supporting virtualization (Hyper-V/VMware).

Qualifications

• US citizenship and active TS/SCI clearance.
• Experience in Windows server administration, patching, and security configuration.
• Experience with Hyper-V and/or VMware virtualization.
• Ability to troubleshoot cross-system data flow and restore integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems administration, engineering, and hardware support for federal systems.
• Monitor performance and health of software and hardware platforms.
• Troubleshoot complex system integration and data flow issues.
• Administer Windows servers, workstations, and PCs.
• Support virtualization of IAFIS servers onto Hyper-V.
• Perform advanced Windows administration (services, policies, disk, etc.).
• Manage network connectivity, domains, users, and Remote Desktop.
• Upgrade systems, patch vulnerabilities, and maintain peripherals.
• Monitor SQL Server databases and Gordano email services.
• Respond to customer support requests and document resolutions.
• Collaborate with customers and technical teams for secure, reliable systems.
