Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Lead PMO Project Manager to guide technology, applications, and business-change initiatives within the PMO. You will drive project planning, requirements gathering, and stakeholder alignment to deliver on SMART goals for the university.

You will partner with central IT and HR/Finance/Provost offices to ensure projects meet budget, schedule, and quality standards, while managing multiple efforts and maintaining robust communication across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years of project management or consulting experience.
• Project management skills with advanced systems.
• Ability to effectively convey information to others.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement projects within the PMO focused on technology, applications, business process, and business change management.
• Support the university in meeting business needs and SMART goals.
• Collaborate with central IT and functional areas including HR, Finance, and the Provost Office.
• Develop business requirements and identify solutions.
• Create and maintain project plans and schedules throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage 3–4 projects at a time depending on size and complexity.
• Manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope.
• Monitor or track project milestones and deliverables.
• Develop and manage work breakdown structures for information technology projects.
• Submit project deliverables while ensuring adherence to quality standards.
• Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Schedule and facilitate meetings related to information technology projects.
• Initiate, review, or approve modifications to project plans.
