Job summary

Cogent Infotech is seeking a Project Manager to join its Oklahoma City PMO for a 12-month contract. You will drive project delivery, manage vendor relationships, and ensure on-time, on-budget execution aligned with agency goals.

The role requires experience with Waterfall, Agile and Hybrid methodologies, strong communication, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams. This contract emphasizes governance, risk management, and change control, with KPI reporting support.

Qualifications

• Experience with Waterfall, Agile and Hybrid project management methodologies.
• Strong familiarity with MS Project.
• Understanding and experience with the PMI PMBOK Guide and Standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Well-organized and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Manage medium to extra-large complexity projects through full project life cycle activities utilizing appropriate methodologies and tools, planning and communication, and acquire, develop, and manage the project team.
• Perform all standard project management deliverables, including scope and objectives, change management, risk mitigation, budgeting, stakeholder communication, project and vendor engagement, subject matter expert utilization, implementation, and project closure.
• Develop and manage project status reports for communicating with project stakeholders and reporting key metrics for the PMO dashboard.
• Implement change management practices in accordance with agency and PMO guidance.
• Forecast, manage, and acquire resources needed to achieve project objectives.
• Ensure project activities and deliverables adhere to federal, state, or agency-documented guidelines.
• Facilitate and manage contract processes from initiation to closure.
• Routinely perform gap analysis, root cause analysis, and offer recommendations for successful project outcomes.
• Demonstrate dynamic ability to lead group facilitation activities for the agency, especially in areas requiring interaction with an independent party.
