Job summary

The Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) is seeking a qualified Project Manager to join its Project Management Office (PMO) in Oklahoma City. The role encompasses directing projects, coordinating resources, managing vendors, and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery aligned to agency goals.

Responsibilities include full lifecycle management, status reporting, change and risk management, and collaboration with stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience with Waterfall, Agile and Hybrid project management methodologies.
• Strong familiarity with and/or the ability to use MS Project.
• Understanding and experience with PMI's PMBOK Guide and Standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills and multi-tasking capabilities.
• Well-organized and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Manage medium to extra-large complexity projects through full project life cycle activities, planning and team management.
• Perform standard project management deliverables including scope, change management, risk mitigation, budgeting, stakeholder communication, vendor engagement, and project closure.
• Develop and manage project status reports for stakeholders and PMO dashboard metrics.
• Implement change management practices per PMO guidance.
• Forecast, manage, and acquire resources to meet objectives.
• Ensure activities and deliverables adhere to guidelines.
• Facilitate and manage contract processes from initiation to closure.
• Conduct gap analysis and root-cause analysis; offer recommendations.
• Lead group facilitation across agency interactions with independent parties.
