Job summary

VIVA USA Inc is seeking a highly experienced Project Manager to lead Wave 2 SAP S/4HANA enhancements across multiple workstreams for PA Turnpike. You will coordinate IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to deliver on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in PM, PMP, and deep SAP/ERP experience, with MS Project mastery and strong leadership, communication, and risk management skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manages and coordinates activities of internal and/or external staff involved in multiple IT projects of varying complexity.
• Develops and maintains project artifacts using PA TURNPIKE or other established PM standards, procedures, templates, and methodologies.
• Builds and manages a detailed integrated project plan and schedule with deliverables, milestones, cross-functional dependencies, and critical path mapping.
• Estimates and maintains cost plans during all phases of the project.
• Plans and schedules resources to ensure the right people are available at the right time.
• Forecasts and enables resource capacity planning with real-time foresight into resourcing.
• Establishes project governance framework with defined roles, escalation paths, and decision processes.
• Coordinates with business owners and analysts to define and refine project scope.
• Performs project management from initiation through closing, including lessons learned sessions.
• Maintains productive relationships with technology staff, business owners, sponsors, vendors, and key clients.
• Coordinates all project activities with System Integrator PMOs and related projects.
• Manages all project artifacts including signoffs.
• Adheres to the PA TURNPIKE PMO Playbook and artifacts.

Job description

Wave 2 is a complex, enterprise-wide SAP S/4HANA enhancement initiative involving one of the client’s core business applications and numerous interconnected systems, business processes, and stakeholders.

Successful delivery will require a highly motivated, experienced PM with exceptional organizational, communication, coordination, and leadership skills. The PM must be capable of managing multiple concurrent workstreams, navigating technical and business dependencies, proactively identifying and mitigating risks, and coordinating effectively with IT teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and executive leadership.

The selected resource will be expected to provide strong project governance, maintain accountability for deliverables, milestones, and budget estimations, as well as ensure that Wave 2 initiatives remain aligned with PA TURNPIKE’s strategic priorities, operational needs, and established project management standards.

PA TURNPIKE operates a complex, cloud-based, multi-tiered, multi-client SAP environment that includes, but is not limited to, the following platforms and solutions:

Duties

• Manages and coordinates the activities of internal and/or external staff involved in multiple IT projects of varying complexity.
• Develops and maintains project artifacts as required using PA TURNPIKE or other established project management standards, procedures, templates, and methodologies.
• Builds and manages the detailed integrated project plan and schedule that captures all task level detail with deliverables, milestones, cross-functional dependencies, etc. while mapping the critical path.
• Estimates and maintains cost plan(s) during all phases of the project.
• Plan and schedule resources efficiently by ensuring that the right resources are allocated and available to the right project activities at the right time.
• Forecasts and enables resource capacity planning in a dynamically changing business environment. It is critical to forecast and get real-time foresight into project resourcing so that the project can take corrective actions ahead of time.
• Establishes project governance framework with a structured approach to govern the project activities. This framework must have well-defined roles, responsibilities, escalation paths, and decision-making processes.
• Coordinates with business owners and other analysts to define and refine the project scope.
• Performs project management duties through the entire project lifecycle, including initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling, and closing.
• Conducts lessons learned sessions during and after projects to identify recommendations for improvement.
• Develops and maintains a productive working relationship with technology staff, business owners, project sponsors, vendors, and key clients.
• Coordinates all project activities with System Integrator Project Managers including interrelated projects within the PA TURNPIKE landscape.
• Manages all project artifacts including signoffs.
• Adheres to the PA TURNPIKE PMO Playbook and referenced artifacts.

Desired Skillset/Minimum Experience

• The ideal candidate will have a minimum of ten (10) years of expertise in project/project management of projects of various size and subject matter, including but not limited to integration, scope, schedule, communication, vendor, and risk planning and management.
• The candidate must have experience managing high profile subject matter vendors within the on-prem and cloud landscape.
• Experience with Enterprise Business Solutions, specifically SAP/ERP projects as a Project Manager.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
• Experience with multi-year projects.
• Strong skills with leadership, conflict management, and negotiation.
• Must have expert level knowledge and extensive experience in creating and maintaining integrated plans in MS Project and or MS Project online.
• Excellent written and oral communication, and presentation skills.
