Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking an Operations Manager to support the Worldwide Field Support PMO and report to the Deputy Program Manager for Operations and Logistics. The role coordinates daily PMO execution across operations, logistics, procurement, staffing, deployment, transition, quality, finance and site leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree and at least eight years of relevant operations program management logistics or government contracting experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Active Secret clearance.
• At least three years leading cross functional teams or complex operational work.
• Experience supporting a Department of Defense program, contract, or mission environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage concurrent priorities, dependencies, risks, and deadlines across multiple organizations.
• Strong written communication, briefing, meeting facilitation, and executive reporting skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 collaboration tools and project tracking systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily PMO execution across operations, logistics, procurement, staffing, deployment, transition, quality, finance and site leadership.
• Maintain a consolidated view of program actions, owners, due dates, dependencies, decisions and risks; elevate issues requiring leadership intervention.
• Support transition planning and phased stand up of mission requirements across locations.
• Monitor staffing, deployment, procurement, logistics and site readiness activities across CONUS and OCONUS locations.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, trackers and management controls for audit readiness.
• Prepare concise program updates, dashboards, read aheads and decision papers for leadership.
• Facilitate cross-functional meetings, document decisions and verify action completion.
• Identify bottlenecks and workload imbalances; recommend corrective action.
• Support surge operations and time-sensitive customer requirements outside normal business hours.
