Job summary

Samsung Electronics America is seeking a Project Management Officer (PMO) for Samsung Wallet to drive multiple high‑visibility projects in New York. You will manage dependencies, schedules and budgets, coordinate cross‑functional teams across legal, marketing, development and operations, and ensure timely launches that impact millions of users worldwide.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years in project management, plus 3 years working on mobile wallet apps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in project management, business, computer science, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in project management.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• At least 3 years of experience with mobile applications focused on wallet capabilities.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing vendor relationships.
• Proficiency in project-management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA).
• Track record of navigating organizational complexity.
• Proficiency in Korean language is desirable but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects concurrently toward timely launch, identifying and resolving dependencies across workstreams, managing overall schedules and keeping them updated.
• Manage internal team processes including budget and finance, vendor onboarding and marketing program submissions.
• Handle day‑to‑day activities necessary to keep the project moving, including beta‑testing facilitation, closure of contracts and marketing tasks, and CMS management.
• Develop and maintain project plans and timelines for all workstreams, ensuring on‑time delivery or highlighting risks and red flags early to executives.
• Communicate with stakeholders to ensure that project goals and deliverables are understood and met.
• Identify and resolve issues and risks that may impact project delivery.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—business, legal, marketing, development, operations—to manage all project dependencies.
• Manage vendor relationships and contracts, including negotiations and tracking of deliverables.
• Develop and maintain project documentation, including status reports and project artifacts.
