ComTec Information Systems in New Orleans (Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days remote) is seeking an experienced IT PMO Analyst to support a portfolio of IT projects and programs. You will collect, analyze, and consolidate project data into portfolio KPIs, dashboards, and executive-level insights.

The role emphasizes Power BI, Excel, risk & issue management, portfolio reporting, and PMO analytics, collaborating with PMs, PMO leadership, and senior stakeholders to provide visibility into portfolio

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in IT PMO or PMO operations roles.
• Experience in large-scale IT project/program management environments.
• Strong experience building portfolio KPIs, dashboards, and reporting.
• Hands-on Power BI experience; Tableau acceptable if comparable.

Title: IT PMO Analyst

New Orleans, LA / The Woodlands, TX – (Hybrid) 3 days/week to office 2 days remote

Position Overview

The client is seeking an experienced IT PMO Analyst to support a portfolio of IT projects and programs. The IT PMO Analyst will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and consolidating project data into portfolio-level KPIs, dashboards, reports, forecasts, and executive-level insights.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on experience with Power BI, Excel, Risk & Issue Management, portfolio reporting, financial tracking, and PMO analytics. The candidate will work closely with Project Managers, Program Managers, PMO leadership, project stakeholders, and senior executives to provide accurate and actionable visibility into portfolio performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the IT PMO in managing and reporting on a portfolio of projects and programs.
• Collect, validate, consolidate, and analyze project data from multiple Project Managers and workstreams.
• Develop and maintain portfolio-level KPIs, metrics, dashboards, and scorecards.
• Develop Power BI dashboards and reports for project and portfolio performance.
• Use Excel to perform data analysis, including PivotTables, formulas, charts, trend analysis, and dashboards.
• Analyze historical and current project performance and develop forecasts and forward‑looking insights.
• Track portfolio health across schedule, budget, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and overall project status.
• Develop recurring monthly and quarterly portfolio reporting.
• Support annual planning and periodic budget and forecast reporting.
• Work with Project Managers to consolidate and maintain the Risk & Issues log.
• Track risks, issues, mitigation actions, owners, due dates, and escalation status.
• Analyze portfolio‑level risk and issue trends and highlight significant items to PMO leadership.
• Prepare reports and presentations tailored to different audiences, including Project Managers, PMO leadership, stakeholders, and C‑suite executives.
• Track vendor invoices, payments, and related project financial information.
• Monitor project financial performance and identify budget, forecast, or expenditure variances.
• Consolidate project‑level information into executive‑ready portfolio summaries.
• Identify trends, anomalies, risks, and performance gaps within the portfolio.
• Partner with Project Managers to improve the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of PMO reporting.
• Maintain standardized PMO reporting processes, templates, and data definitions.
• Support continuous improvement of PMO reporting, dashboards, KPIs, and portfolio analytics.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working as an IT PMO Analyst, PMO Analyst, EPMO Analyst, PMO Operations Analyst, or similar role.
• Experience working within a large‑scale IT project/program management environment.
• Strong experience developing portfolio‑level KPIs, metrics, dashboards, and reporting.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Power BI.
• Tableau experience may be considered where the candidate has equivalent dashboard/reporting expertise.
• Strong experience with Risk and Issue Management, including tracking, reporting, mitigation, and escalation.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
• PivotTables
• Advanced formulas
• Charts
• Data analysis
• Dashboards

Experience consolidating information from multiple projects/workstreams into portfolio‑level reporting. Experience analyzing project performance, trends, forecasts, and variances. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to translate complex technical/project information into clear management and executive‑level reporting. Strong analytical, organizational, problem‑solving, and presentation skills. Ability to work effectively with Project Managers, Program Managers, PMO leadership, vendors, and senior stakeholders.
