Job summary

Community Health Centers of America is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide direct psychiatric care at contracted skilled nursing facilities in the Chico area. This is a full-time role with potential part-time options, mainly in-person with some telehealth opportunities.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating mental health conditions, prescribing medications, and delivering psychotherapy.

Qualifications

• CA license as a PMHNP and NP.
• Master's degree in Nursing (PMHNP) required.
• 3-5 years of related experience preferred.
• Current BLS/ACLS required.
• Current DEA registration required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat patients with mental health conditions in Skilled Nursing facilities.
• Prescribe medications and monitor therapy.
• Perform psychotherapy and counseling as part of treatment.
• Maintain complete medical records and document progress.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and prognosis.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams and care plans.
