Job summary

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus seeks a dynamic leader to serve as the Specialty Director of the PMHNP Program. This full-time faculty role, in the Instructional Faculty Series, includes time dedicated to directing the PMHNP program and teaching across classroom, online, and blended formats.

The ideal candidate will have recent PMHNP practice and a proven track record in academic teaching.

Qualifications

• Qualified to hold a full-time faculty appointment within the Instructional Faculty Series.
• Recent psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner practice experience and a record of excellence in academic teaching.
• Ability to teach across PMHNP programs; rank determined by qualifications and experience.
• Demonstration of academic leadership such as curricular/program development is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Academic Advising & Student Support: Advise PMHNP students, monitor progress, and support performance improvement.
• Student Recruitment, Coordination & Alumni Engagement: Recruit and advise PMHNP students and engage alumni.
• Curriculum Development & Instruction: Lead PMHNP specialty teaching across didactic and clinical formats.
• Clinical Preceptor & Placement Coordination: Identify and secure clinical placements and supervise preceptors.
• Program Leadership & Administration: Participate in specialty faculty meetings and program development.
• Communication & Collaboration: Maintain effective collaboration with students, faculty, staff, preceptors, and partners.
