Job summary

Psychosocial Therapies in Akron, OH seeks a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or PA to deliver psychiatric services in long-term care facilities. Full-time, part-time, or contract positions available, with a sign-on bonus and competitive compensation.

The ideal candidate holds an Ohio APRN/PA license, PMHNP degree, and board certification. DEA registration is required; travel within the local area is expected to support residents’ needs and care continuity.

Qualifications

Licensed nurse in Ohio with APRN (PMHNP) or PA license in good standing.
PMHNP degree with prescriptive authority to manage meds in collaboration with a psychiatrist as required by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
Board Certified in psychiatric care.
Psychiatric experience required; geriatric experience preferred.
Active DEA license required.
Local travel to facilities is expected.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract.

Responsibilities

Provide psychiatric services to residents in long-term care facilities within Akron and surrounding areas.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams to develop, implement and evaluate treatment plans.
Maintain high standards of integrity and excellence in patient care.
Travel locally to partner facilities as needed.
