Job summary

CHE Behavioral Health Services in Oakland, CA is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join a clinician-led, APA-approved team. The position offers a Mon–Fri schedule, no nights, weekends, or on-call, and attractive compensation.

You will evaluate patients, design and adjust treatment plans, and collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and nursing staff.

Qualifications

• MSN – Psychiatric/Mental Health and ANCC PMHNP certification are required.
• Active DEA license is required.
• Experience in psychotropic medication management is required.
• 2+ years of experience is required.
• Family Nurse Practitioners with 3–5 years of psych experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate treatment plans.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications.
• Collaborate with an integrated care team (psychiatrists, psychologists, LCSWs, nursing staff).
• Distinguish and diagnose psychological vs. physiological disorders.
• Consult on complex or unusual clinical cases.
