Job summary

CHE Behavioral Health Services is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our clinician-led, APA-approved behavioral health team in Ventura, CA. The PMHNP will conduct psychiatric evaluations, develop treatment plans, and manage psychotropic medications within an integrated care setting.

Qualifications

• MSN – Psychiatric/Mental Health and PMHNP certification required.
• Active DEA license.
• Experience in psychotropic medication management.
• 2+ years of experience; 3–5 years for FNPs with psych experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate treatment plans.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications.
• Collaborate with an integrated care team (psychiatrists, psychologists, LCSWs, nursing staff).
• Diagnose and distinguish psychological vs. physiological disorders; consult on complex cases.
