Job summary

Southwest Network is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to lead medical services on the ACT team and provide comprehensive psychiatric care in an outpatient setting. You will perform assessments, manage medications including clozapine and LAIs, and contribute to treatment planning for adults with serious mental illness.

The role requires AZ licensure, DEA, and experience in community mental health, with on-call duties and collaboration across care teams.

Qualifications

• Board-certified PMHNP or eligible
• Experience with adults with serious mental illness in community health
• Ability to integrate brief therapy during visits
• Licensed in Arizona with DEA certification
• CPR/First Aid/Therapeutic Options certifications
• Arizona driver’s license and vehicle insurance
• Minimum two years as a psychiatric NP with prescriptive authority

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive psychiatric assessments, diagnostic clarification, and treatment planning
• Ongoing psychopharmacologic management including clozapine and long-acting injectable antipsychotics
• Ability to integrate brief therapy during visits as appropriate
• Consultation with colleagues on complex or treatment-resistant cases
• Providing psychiatric care for members on Court Ordered Treatment (COT)
• Coordination with primary care, pharmacy, and inpatient teams during care transitions
• Mentor psychiatry residents during clinical rotations at our site
