Job summary

Southwest Behavioral & Health Services seeks a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join the Mesa Outpatient Clinic. The role focuses on assessments, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health needs in an outpatient setting, with 40-hour weeks Monday through Friday and schedule flexibility.

Responsibilities include engagement, diagnostic work, treatment planning, medication management, and coordination of care, with opportunities for on‑call crisis support and supervision of BHMP staff.

Qualifications

• Requires MA degree in Nursing and ANCC Psychiatric Mental Health Certification.
• Current nursing license in AZ or eligibility.
• Experience with prescribing methadone and Suboxone preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric assessments and medication management in an outpatient setting.
• Maintain productivity and charting within deadlines.
• Coordinate care with PCPs and other staff.
• Provide on‑call support for crisis situations.
• Supervise other BHMPs as assigned.
