Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support PMAP services and assist patients with access to therapy. You will work closely with pharmacists, counselors, and clinical staff to ensure accurate dispensing, documentation, and coordination of benefits.

Responsibilities include medication preparation, packaging, inventory control, and maintaining records, while upholding compliance and quality standards in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Registered or eligible for pharmacy technician registration in Ohio.
• Pharmacy Technician Trainees must submit all required documentation to the Ohio Board of Pharmacy at least 10 business days before start date.
• Maintain Registered Pharmacy Technician status with Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
• The university will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.
• Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process.

Responsibilities

• Assist the licensed pharmacist in providing pharmaceutical services to patients and support staff.
• Prepare and package moderately, complex medications and distribute advanced medications, supplies and equipment.
• Maintain proper inventory levels and ensure medications are in date and secure.
• Keep appropriate records and documentation and support area managers.
