The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Medication Assistance Program Dispensing Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in providing pharmaceutical services to patients and clinicians. You will assist with preparation, packaging, and distribution of medications, while maintaining inventory, records, and adherence to formularies.

You will work closely with financial counselors and clinical staff to help patients access therapy, including understanding insurance coverage

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum age 18.
• Registered or eligible for pharmacy technician registration in Ohio.
• Pharmacy Technician Trainees must submit required documentation to the Ohio Board of Pharmacy at least 10 business days before start date.
• Maintain Registered Pharmacy Technician status within 1.5 years of hire.
• Continues to meet departmental competency requirements and pharmacy standards of employee conduct.

• Assist the licensed pharmacist in providing pharmaceutical services to patients.
• Prepare and package moderately, complex medications and distribute advanced medications, supplies and equipment.
• Maintain proper inventory levels and ensure medications are in date and secure.
• Keep appropriate records and documentation.
