Job summary

Ttdwest in Santa Fe Springs, CA is seeking a detail-oriented Dispatch Clerk to organize and track shipments, maintain accurate records, and support the transportation team. This on-site role runs Monday through Friday, 4:00 pm to 12:30 am, with a pay range of $22.00–$23.00 per hour.

You will handle documentation, verify PODs/BOLs, and use the CLI dispatch system to keep operations running smoothly. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in transportation/dispatch, strong MS Office skills, and

Responsibilities

• Coordinate pickup and delivery of cargo to/from customers.

• Check driver paperwork against CLI; ensure PODs/BOLs present.
• Scan PODs and BOLs; index documents.
• Assist dispatchers with various tasks as needed.

Pay rate: $22.00-$23.00

Schedule: M-F 4pm-12:30am.

Job description:We are seeking a detail-oriented Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and the ability to handle administrative tasks efficiently.

Job Purpose:Dispatch Clerk responsible for scheduling transportation, tracking shipments, ensuring materials are sent and received in good condition, and maintaining accurate records.

• Prepare, process, and maintain documentation related to domestic shipments, including coordinating the pick-up and delivery of cargo to and from customers.
• Assist the Total Transportation & Distribution Dispatchers in various areas incidental to dispatch.
• Update dispatch systems as required.
• Provide knowledgeable answers to questions concerning ETA’s, deliveries, pick-ups, etc.
• Call customers, shippers or third parties to request additional time if needed.
• Process Inside Deliveries.
• Check-in drivers’ paperwork against what is assigned in CLI to ensure drivers are not missing any PODs or BOLs.
• Convert pick-ups to deliveries in CLI while ensuring all information from BOLs is transferred over to the order in CLI.
• Scan PODs into indexing system.
• Label and scan BOLs into indexing system
• Process missing BOL and missing POD reports at end of the night to ensure no documents are missing.
• Special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1+ years of related experience in dispatching and transportation preferred
• Able to competently perform job duties described above
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize projects and deliverables, and interact effectively with cross-functional teams
• Good quantitative and analytical thinking skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook: Basic level of skill
• Proficiency with use of operations management software including reporting functions.
• Work as part of a team and help execute both departmental and company goals.
• Follow company and departmental directives regarding policies and procedures.

Experience/Training/Education:

Required:High school graduate or equivalent, plus minimum of 1 year of Transportation/Dispatch experience.

This position is fully onsite at our Santa Fe Springs, CA location and has a pay range of $22.00-$23.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
