Job summary

US Foods in Woodburn, OR is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair diesel fleet equipment in a maintenance facility. The role includes preventive maintenance, completing repairs on tractors and trailers, and documenting work in the fleet system.

Schedule: Sunday -Wednesday 2:00 PM - 12:30 AM

Location - Woodburn, OR

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards.
• Complete all required repairs on diesel equipment (i.e., tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates, etc.).
• Take directions from and assist senior technicians with repairs.
• Utilise fleet maintenance system tablet to fully document equipment repair and parts used.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules/regulations and government guidelines.
• Willingness and capacity to assume increased responsibility and certifications.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

• Internal: All Fleet Technicians, Drivers, Coordinators and Manager

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Onsite : The associate in this role is expected to perform assigned responsibilities inside a US Foods maintenance facility.

Ability to work flexible schedule.

Must be willing to work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have 1 year of verifiable hands‑on experience as a heavy‑duty commercial diesel mechanic.
• Must furnish own personal hand tools.
• Able to read and write legibly (e.g., to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job‑related coaching, and enter information on reports if needed); basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, divide).

High school diploma or equivalent required.

LICENSES

Must possess a valid driver’s license.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid Class A CDL license and DOT certification
• Experience with Maximo fleet maintenance system
• Previous mechanical and PM program experience
• Experience using fleet maintenance software
• Welding ability
