Job summary

Hank's Seafood Charleston is seeking a Steward (PM) to support kitchen operations by maintaining a clean, organized back-of-house and assisting with food preparation as needed. This role is based in Charleston, SC, within a fast-paced historic seafood restaurant known for its authentic ambiance.

The successful candidate will focus on sanitation and equipment upkeep, ensuring a smooth flow of dishware and kitchen support throughout service hours.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload dishwashing machines
• Wash specific items by hand (e.g. wooden cutting boards, large pots and delicate china)
• Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment accordingly
• Ensure there are enough clean dishes, glasses, and utensils, especially during peak hours
• Check washing machines’ operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues
• Ability to maintain multiple projects and high priority needs as required
