Job summary

Hank's Seafood Restaurant in Charleston, SC is seeking a Steward (PM) to join our kitchen team. This role focuses on maintaining a clean kitchen, organizing the restaurant and back-of-house areas, and assisting with food preparation as needed.

Key tasks include loading and unloading dishwashing machines, hand-washing items, storing clean dishes and equipment, ensuring enough clean wares during peak hours, and reporting any dishwasher issues promptly.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload dishwashing machines
• Wash specific items by hand (e.g. wooden cutting boards, large pots and delicate china)
• Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment accordingly
• Ensure there are enough clean dishes, glasses, and utensils, especially during peak hours
• Check washing machines’ operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues
• Ability to maintain multiple projects and high priority needs as required
