Job summary

HelloFresh Canada is seeking a Quality Control Associate in Calgary, AB, for an evening/overnight shift (Mon–Fri/Sat, 3:00 PM to 2:00 AM). You will uphold food safety standards, perform QC inspections, and coordinate with Operations, Procurement and Logistics to ensure safe, high-quality meals.

Ideal candidates have 6 months to 1 year in QC/QA in food processing or manufacturing, are comfortable in a refrigerated environment, and possess strong English communication skills and MS Office/Google

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Biological, Chemical or Food Sciences diploma.
• 6 Months to 1 year experience in QC/QA in a food processing, manufacturing or service industry; RTE experience is a plus.
• Capability to work in a refrigerated environment (0°C to 4°C).
• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Google Apps; ability to learn new tech quickly.

Responsibilities

• Receive inbounding and inventory SKUs and conduct quality control inspections to meet specs.
• Communicate with Operations, Procurement, and Logistics; maintain a photo database of non-conformances.
• Perform QC inspections on raw materials, WIP and finished products to company standards.
• Conduct environmental monitoring through swabbing and equipment calibration verification.
• Ensure GMPs and allergen controls are followed per procedures; monitor product labeling and CCPs.
• Maintain reports (CCP/PCP records, line verification, GMPs) and input data in QA tracking systems.
• Address QCs and BBD issues on production lines; manage Out of Spec findings with corrective actions.
• Assist management in troubleshooting production process issues; perform additional tasks as assigned.
