Job summary

HelloFresh in Edmonton, AB, is seeking a Quality Control Associate for a 12-month contract. You will oversee QC inspections, support GMP and allergen controls, and assist with environmental monitoring and calibration.

You will collaborate with Operations, Procurement, and Logistics to maintain product quality and safety across the production line. The role requires a post-secondary diploma in Biological, Chemical or Food Sciences, 6 months to 1 year QC/QA experience in food processing, and

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Biological, Chemical or Food Sciences diploma
• 6 Months to 1 year experience working in QC/QA in a food processing, manufacturing or service industry
• Willing and able to push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs
• Has experience standing for prolonged periods including bending, twisting and walking
• Understanding Safe Food for Canadians Regulations and GFSI schemes
• Able to work in refrigerated environment (0°C to 4°C)
• English communication (verbal and written)
• Familiar with MS Office and Google Apps
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Independent and team-oriented, strong interpersonal skills
• First Aid Level 1 is an asset

Responsibilities

• Receive inbounding and inventory SKUs and conduct quality control inspections to ensure specs are met
• Coordinate with Warehouse to achieve quality targets and inspect packaged products for lot codes
• Respond to Quality/BBd issues on production lines and maintain non-conformance photo logs
• Lead production associates for ingredient sorting and supervise QA processes
• Perform QA inspections on finished products, raw materials, water, and sanitation
• Ensure logs, records, and ship-out station accuracy; comply with OH&S regulations
• Monitor allergen management and GMP compliance; report hazards promptly
• Perform environmental monitoring and calibration verification (ATP swabbing)
• Support FSQA Supervisor and provide troubleshooting in production processes
• Conduct GMP audits and internal inspections periodically
