Job summary

HelloFresh Canada in Calgary is seeking a Jr. Quality Control Associate to support FSQA in maintaining product quality and food safety. You will perform data entry, weight checks, and contribute to traceability in a fast-paced environment.

Shift flexibility is required; health benefits and a competitive salary are offered. This role provides hands-on experience in QC/QA within a leading meal kit company environment.

Location: Factor - Chinook

Shift: AM/PM until 2AM) - open flexibility required.

About the Role

As a Jr. Quality Control Associate you will have a direct role in maintaining our product quality control and food safety processes. Reporting to the FSQA Supervisor you will play a key role in ensuring our facility is able to make high-quality, safe, delicious meals for our customers.

What you will be doing:

• Provide administrative support to the FSQA team
• Transfer data from a source to a document while maintaining high standards of legibility and accuracy.
• Perform product weight checks and inputting the data
• Ensure accuracy of documents
• Play a key role in maintaining product traceability
• Work in compliance with OH&S acts and regulations.
• Use personal protective and safety equipment and clothing as directed by the employer and report workplace hazards and dangers to the supervisor or employer.
• All other duties, as assigned

At a minimum, you have:

• Strong organizational skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Ability to communicate in English, both verbal and written
• Ability to prioritize, remain calm and alert, and write legibly while multitasking in a fast-paced and deadline oriented environment.
• Willing and able to push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs.
• Has experience with standing for prolonged periods of time including regular bending, twisting and walking
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment, in addition to having strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with a computer comfortable learning new technologies
• Willing and able to work in a refrigerated environment (0°C to 4°C)
• Previous experience or exposure (approximately 6 months) to Quality Control/Assurance processes in a food manufacturing environment is considered a strong asset. This may include familiarity with QCA tasks such as product checks, data entry, and traceability.
