Job summary

The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center in Albuquerque seeks a Program Therapist to support PM&R's clinical care across multiple sites. You will perform evaluations, consultations, and treatment as part of an interdisciplinary team under physician faculty supervision.

Qualified applicants have a Bachelor's degree; advanced degrees in rehabilitation-related fields are preferred. The role is full-time in a staff, exempt position with monthly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; no prior experience needed.
• Advanced degrees may substitute for experience year-for-year.
• Preferred: rehabilitation-related degree (e.g., athletic training, kinesiology, physical therapy).
• Certification or licensure relevant to assigned duties where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Conducts evaluations and recommends treatment for acute and chronic pain and musculoskeletal injuries.
• Performs patient evaluations, assessments, consultations, and treatment for neurologic disorders.
• Collaborates with therapists and staff to ensure compliant patient care.
• Plans and coordinates clinical activities per protocol and regulations.
• Consults with patients and families to develop treatment recommendations.
• Participates in interdisciplinary team with PM&R faculty for clinical planning.
• Maintains timely clinical documentation in EMR per requirements.
• Participates in education and outreach to support program development.
