Job summary

Avera Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Sioux Falls is seeking a physician to provide and manage direct medical evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, and care for patients within a recognized area of practice.

You will assess, diagnose, and treat patients, provide health education, and perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in a multidisciplinary team, maintaining records and ensuring safety and quality of care at every step.

Qualifications

• Medical Doctor license to practice medicine in the service state, board certified or board eligible.
• Doctor of Osteopathy license to practice medicine in the service state, board certified or board eligible.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients according to approved protocols and standards.
• Provides medical services and health education to patients and families.
• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed.
• Interprets diagnostic information and formulates care plans.
• Maintains patient records and accurate information.
• Ensures safety and aseptic practices in patient care.
• Follows care policies and collaborates with the care team.
• Regularly consults with the care team and coordinates referrals.
• Adheres to applicable safety laws, regulations, and standards.
