Job summary

MRG Exams seeks a PM&R physician to perform independent medical assessments for veterans. You will review medical records, conduct non-treating evaluations, and complete VA‑provided DBQs via a secure online portal to support disability determinations.

The role focuses on assessment, not treatment, with a schedule of 1–2 days per month. A valid MD/DO with PM&R is required; board certification in related fields is preferred, and strong typing is essential.

Qualifications

• Active MD or DO license with a PM&R specialization.
• Board certification in PM&R, Neurological Surgery, Psychiatry and Neurology preferred; two-year specialty residency also considered.
• Strong typing skills and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze veterans' medical records through a secure web portal.
• Conduct comprehensive, non-treating assessments to document current health conditions.
• Complete and submit VA DBQs based on VA templates.
• Ensure DBQs are thorough, accurate, and submitted within 24 hours of assessment.
• Assess up to four veterans daily.
