Inova Alexandria Hospital is seeking a dedicated Patient Access Associate to join the Physical Medicine and Rehab team. The role is full-time, Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM, at Inova Alexandria Hospital in Virginia.

You will handle patient intake, insurance verification, documentation, and coordination with care teams to support smooth admissions and billing. Ideal candidates have healthcare or customer service experience and a High School diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or GED.
• Experience in healthcare/customer service is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients, verifies identity and insurance.
• Scans documents and uses EMR/eligibility tools.
• Notifies case managers and documents referrals.
• Provides estimates and collects payments.
• Verifies basic eligibility and coverage.
• Answers routine questions and escalates issues.
