Job summary

The Oasis Hotel & Convention Center is seeking career-driven individuals committed to providing a memorable guest experience. This full-service property features 173 guest rooms and over 30,000 sq ft of meeting space, plus Fire & Ice Restaurant & Bar, Springfield’s only ice bar.

Responsibilities include banquet setup, interpreting BEOs, room preparation, and maintaining clean, organized spaces. Shifts include PM and overnights with emphasis on outstanding guest service and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Banquet setup: full preparation of banquets and related F&B operations.
• Read and interpret Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and follow instructions from Banquets Manager and Captain.
• Prepare rooms for setup: clear dishes, remove linen and trash, clean and vacuum.
• Set meeting rooms and banquet functions per BEO specs; arrange tables, linens, settings, beverage stations, buffet and bar setups.
• Care, movement and storage of banquet supplies.
• Keep service corridors and storage areas clean and accessible.
• Maintain open communication with Banquet Manager/Captain about changes or needs.
• Perform general and deep cleaning as directed; work safely at all times.

Responsibilities

Banquet Setup is responsible for the setup and overall preparation of all l banquets and banquet related Food & Beverage operations.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and follow instructions from Banquets Manager and/or Captain.
• Prepare rooms for setup to include; clearing dishes, removing linen and trash, cleaning /vacuuming, etc.
• Set meeting rooms and banquet functions per specifications on resume and BEOs or as given by banquet management. Prepare for each function as appropriate, including, but not limited to placement of tables and chairs, linens, table settings, beverage stations, buffet set-up, bar set-up, etc. .
• Proper care, movement and storage of banquet supplies.
• Keep service corridors, pre-function space, and storage areas clean, organized and unobstructed.
• Maintain open communication with the Banquet Manager and/or Banquet Captain, informing of immediate changes or needs.
• Perform general and deep cleaning /organizing tasks as directed by management.
• Work safely and courteously at all times

Physical Requirements:

• This is a very physical position that requires constant standing and walking. Frequent bending, squatting, handling and grasping. Must be able to lift and carry 50lbs. Pushing and pulling and average weight of 97lbs
• Must be able to lift and move heavy equipment on a continuous basis throughout shift.
• Candidate must be able to pass a job specific post-offer physical prior to beginning employement with Oasis Hotel.
• Indoor working conditions in fast paced environment.
• Candidate must be able to pass a physical through Carr Physical Therapy prior to beginning employment with Prime, Inc.
