Job summary

Oasis Hotel & Convention Center in Springfield, MO is seeking dedicated Banquet Setup staff to ensure flawless event experiences for guests. This role focuses on prep, service and seamless execution of banquets and related F&B operations.

Responsibilities include reading and interpreting BEOs, preparing rooms, setting tables and stations, maintaining cleanliness, and keeping spaces organized. You will work with the Banquets team, stay flexible for PM and overnight shifts, and uphold safety

• Read and interpret Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and follow instructions from Banquets Manager and/or Captain.
• Prepare rooms for setup to include clearing dishes, removing linen and trash, cleaning/vacuuming, etc.
• Set meeting rooms and banquet functions per specifications on resume and BEOs or as given by banquet management; include placement of tables, chairs, linens, settings, beverage stations, buffet and bar setups.
• Proper care, movement and storage of banquet supplies.
• Keep service corridors, pre-function space, and storage areas clean, organized and unobstructed.
• Maintain open communication with the Banquet Manager and/or Banquet Captain, informing of changes or needs.
• Perform general and deep cleaning/organizing tasks as directed.
• Work safely and courteously at all times.

Banquet Setup is responsible for the setup and overall preparation of all l banquets and banquet related Food & Beverage operations.

• Maintain open communication with the Banquet Manager and/or Banquet Captain, informing of immediate changes or needs.
• Perform general and deep cleaning /organizing tasks as directed by management.

Physical Requirements:

• This is a very physical position that requires constant standing and walking. Frequent bending, squatting, handling and grasping. Must be able to lift and carry 50lbs. Pushing and pulling and average weight of 97lbs
• Must be able to lift and move heavy equipment on a continuous basis throughout shift.
• Candidate must be able to pass a job specific post-offer physical prior to beginning employement withOasis Hotel.

Miscellaneous Requirements

• Candidate must be able to pass a physical through Carr Physical Therapy prior to beginning employment with Prime, Inc.
