Job summary

Vangst seeks a Workforce Supervisor in Camarillo, CA to oversee the day-to-day operations of our temporary labor program. You will supervise Vangst Team Leads and general labor teams, acting as the primary liaison between the host facility and Vangst.

The ideal candidate brings 2+ years of supervisory or workforce coordination experience in cannabis or related industries, strong leadership, and the ability to manage multiple departments with a compliant, safety-minded approach.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years supervision/workforce coordination experience in cannabis or related fields.
  • Must be 21+ and pass a Live Scan background check.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must have reliable transportation to Camarillo, CA.
  • Full-time availability with overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of all Vangst Team Leads and their assigned general labor teams.
  • Act as the main point of contact between the facility's leadership team and Vangst (staffing provider).
  • Communicate real-time attendance, performance, and staffing needs to Vangst account management and candidate support teams.
  • Ensure proper task delegation from Team Leads to labor staff per department needs (cultivation, harvest, trimming, propagation, etc.).
  • Support onboarding, training, and coaching of new Team Leads; ensure SOP alignment.
  • Monitor performance, attendance, and morale; raise concerns to site management and Vangst as needed.
  • Forecast labor needs with department heads and identify deployment gaps.
  • Track labor metrics and generate summary reports as requested.
  • Promote a professional, safe, and compliant work environment at all times.

Must be 21+ and able to pass a Live Scan background check (per California compliance)
Position Summary
A high-volume cannabis facility in Camarillo is seeking aWorkforce Supervisorto oversee the day-to-day operations of allVangst temporary workers, including direct supervision of theVangst Team Leads. This person will serve as theprimary liaison between the host facility and the Vangst internal team, ensuring smooth communication, workforce alignment, and real-time problem solving.
This role is essential to the success of our temporary labor program and requires someone highly organized, dependable, and experienced in managing both people and process across multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of all Vangst Team Leads and their assigned general labor teams
  • Act as themain point of contact between the facility's leadership team and Vangst(the staffing provider)
  • Communicate real-time updates to the Vangst account management and candidate support teams regarding attendance, performance, and personnel needs
  • Ensure proper delegation and task flow from Team Leads to labor staff based on departmental needs (cultivation, harvest, trimming, propagation, etc.)
  • Support the onboarding, training, and coaching of new Team Leads and ensure all are aligned with SOPs and site expectations
  • Monitor performance, attendance, and morale of all Vangst-assigned staff and raise concerns to both site management and Vangst
  • Collaborate with department heads to forecast labor needs and identify areas where support is needed
  • Track labor metrics and generate summary reports as requested
  • Step in to support operational gaps when needed to maintain productivity
  • Promote a professional, safe, and compliant work environment at all times
Ideal Candidate
  • 2+ years of experience supervising teams in cannabis, agriculture, manufacturing, or similar labor-intensive industries
  • Strong leadership and communication skills across multiple levels of staff
  • Experience coordinating with staffing partners, temp agencies, or external vendors is a plus
  • Highly organized and able to multitask across shifting priorities and workflows
  • Proactive problem-solver with a collaborative, team-first mindset
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
  • Familiarity with cannabis compliance and cultivation/production workflows is preferred
Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
