Job summary

TruCare Community in Long Beach, CA is hiring compassionate Caregivers for full-time and part-time shifts in a busy assisted living facility for the elderly. Responsibilities include medication administration, documentation, and coordinating with medical staff to support residents' comfort and safety.

Position requires DOJ FBI background clearance, physical and TB clearance, and a high school diploma or GED. A $500 sign-on bonus is offered along with growth opportunities and competitive wages.

Qualifications

• Able to pass DOJ FBI live scan background clearance.
• Able to pass pre-employment physical and TB test clearance.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in caregiving and medical administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic needs of a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE).
• Provide ethical and respectful care to residents.
• Administer medication to residents per Title 22 regulations.
• Order and reorder medication following physician instructions.
• Monitor medication administration records and report errors.
• Progressive documentation and communication with physicians.
• Schedule resident doctor’s appointments.
• Promote resident engagement and independence while minimizing stress.
• Maintain composure during emergencies and ensure a safe environment.

Job Description:

• Assist with the basic needs of a RCFE (Residential Care Facility for the Elderly).
• Provide ethical and respectful care to residents.
• Administer medication to residents in accordance to Title 22 regulations of the California Administrative Code.
• Order and reorder medication for residents, following explicit physician instructions.
• Monitor resident’s medication administration records and report any errors to the Lead Medication Technician and/or Administrator.
• Progressive documentation and communication with physician and /or medical professional.
• Scheduling of resident doctor’s appointments.
• Ensure that residents stay stress-free as much as possible by working with medical professionals in regards to reducing of pain while promoting engagement and independence.
• Maintains good composure during emergencies.
• Maintains a safe work environment.
