Job summary

Hallandale Pharmacy in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a warehouse cleaning associate responsible for keeping work areas clean, organized, and hygienic, sweeping, mopping, waste removal, and reporting hazards. You will maintain lockers, follow safety procedures, and move items as needed; candidates should be reliable, punctual, and able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Prior cleaning experience preferred but not required.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The primary responsibility of this position is to maintain the warehouse work areas clean, organized, and in proper hygienic and safe conditions. The employee will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the assigned areas and ensuring that they meet the expected standards of cleanliness and order.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain all assigned work areas within the warehouse clean and organized.
• Sweep and mop floors and ensure they are maintained in proper condition.
• Collect and remove trash and waste from assigned areas.
• Clean walls and other surfaces, paying particular attention to dust and dirt accumulation.
• Maintain the lockers in the assigned area clean and in good hygienic condition.
• Perform general cleaning duties according to the needs of the department.
• Move and organize items or materials as necessary to properly complete cleaning duties.
• Report any condition that may present a cleanliness, hygiene, or safety concern.
• Properly use cleaning products, tools, and equipment provided by the company.
• Follow all company safety, hygiene, and cleaning procedures.

Qualifications:

• Remain standing for most of the work shift.
• Walk and move throughout the warehouse and assigned work areas.
• Bend, kneel, reach, stretch, and perform repetitive movements associated with cleaning duties.
• Lift, move, and handle items or materials weighing up to 50 pounds (23 kg) when necessary to perform assigned duties.
• Perform cleaning duties safely and efficiently throughout the scheduled shift.
• Previous cleaning experience is preferred but not required.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
• Ability to work independently.
• Positive and cooperative attitude.
