Job description

Our client, a thriving commercial construction firm, is looking for a seasoned PM/Estimator to advance their career! We need a dedicated, motivated, and results-driven individual to lead diverse construction initiatives from initial planning to final delivery. This position provides outstanding advancement potential, attractive compensation packages, and opportunities to manage sophisticated design-build ventures while coaching fellow project management staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with hard bid jobs from completed plans
  • Provide complete project administration from bidding through warranty
  • Manage and direct multiple medium to large-scale construction projects simultaneously
  • Oversee design-build projects: meet with clients, develop scope, select team members, perform conceptual estimating
  • Work effectively with internal/external clients, vendors, and senior management
  • Exercise judgment within defined policies to develop corporate methods and techniques
  • Translate customer business goals into concrete strategy and tactical plans
  • Resolve political, resource, budgeting, change, and legal issues affecting programs
  • Develop and maintain "lessons-learned" repository for future projects
  • Serve as mentor/advisor/decision-maker to other project managers
  • Provide guidance on corporate politics, client relations, project quality, risk, and safety
  • Manage vendor relations and procurement
  • Ensure successful project execution and delivery
  • Oversee development of proposals and RFPs
  • Plan interpretation - ability to read, understand, and check plans, specifications, and submittals
  • PMP or other project management certification
  • Process knowledge of entitlement and permit processes
  • Strategic understanding of industry issues and demonstrated success in mentoring/managing other project managers
  • Technical expertise with enterprise project management and financial software
  • Extensive experience in commercial, mixed-use, multifamily, and public-works construction

Preferred

  • Experience with project management process improvement and implementation of standards/methodologies
  • College degree in finance, accounting, industry-related, or technical subject
  • Advanced degree in business specialty or project management
  • Salary Range: $100,000 - $140,000 (negotiable for exceptional candidates)

Performance Incentives

  • Payment: Immediate upon project completion
  • Profit Sharing: 20% of profit on every project, split with PM team and field staff
  • Historical Earnings: Additional $10,000-$40,000 annually
