Job summary

ISD 728 is seeking an Elementary Targeted Services Teacher for a temporary PM Reading position at Twin Lakes Elementary School. The role runs 1/11/27–3/5/27 with PM sessions on Mon/Wed from 3:45pm to 5:15pm, including prep time. Compensation is based on student need and Teacher Step/Lane, not a fixed salary.

The teacher will plan instruction, deliver lessons, assess student progress, meet with parents, maintain records, and collaborate with staff to support district goals and student achievement.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree.
• Appropriate licensure for area of teaching.
• Demonstrated teaching skills.
• Good human relation skills.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plans instruction and other student support activities, including the establishment of overall goals and priorities, lesson plans, classroom activities and daily lesson plans.
• Provides instruction to students at appropriate levels of difficulty and monitors progress.
• Establishes behavior expectations and maintains classroom control according to district policies.
• Participates in parent/teacher conferences and communicates student progress to parents.
• Collaborates with other staff regarding student needs and shares teaching techniques.
• Develops tests and evaluates results; reports grades to parents.
• Maintains knowledge of subjects taught and how they fit into district curriculum.
• Pursues professional development to improve teaching skills.
• Records and maintains proper records.
• Other job-related duties as assigned.
