Job summary

The Holiday Inn Dulles is hiring a PM Shift Dishwasher in Sterling, VA. You will clean and sanitize dishware, maintain the dish machine, and support kitchen operations to ensure guest satisfaction.

This role requires dependable, detail-oriented individuals with the ability to work Sunday through Thursday evenings; prior dishwashing experience is preferred. Pay ranges from $17 to $18 per hour, with full benefits described by the employer.

Qualifications

• Some High school coursework required.
• Must be dependable, pay attention to details, be customer focused and have the ability to perform job duties in a repetitious and fast paced environment.
• Physical requirements: ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis throughout shift.
• Ability to complete physically demanding responsibilities such as walking, standing, carrying, and moving about the dish room continuously throughout the shift.
• Prior dishwashing experience preferred. EEO AA M/F/Vet/Disabled

Responsibilities

• Dish Room / Washing Duties: Maintains the dish machine, ensuring minimum temp requirements are maintained.
• Cleans the dishwasher, changes water, cleans curtains and traps, air dries dishes, stores properly, inspects and re-washes as necessary.
• Cleaning: removal of trash, breaking down boxes, railroad cleaning, maintaining floors, deep cleaning, quarterly power sprays the kitchen, and other areas as needed.
• Guest Service: anticipates needs of internal and external customers and assists others to meet guest needs.
• Cost Control: proper use of equipment, monitor chemicals, reduce waste and breakage.
• Works Safely: maintains clean, safe area, follows regulations and emergency procedures.
• Self Management: plan, organize, and prioritise tasks; attendance and work rules; participate in meetings.
• Other Duties: plate for banquets, prep vegetables, assist other areas.
