Job summary

True Food Kitchen in Fairfax, VA, is seeking a dedicated dishwasher to support our busy kitchen and dining operations. You will operate and maintain the dish machine, keep tableware, cookware, and utensils clean, and ensure sanitation before, during, and after service.

Qualifications

• Experience with dishwashing in a kitchen is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Comfort standing for extended periods.
• Reliable and committed to cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the dish machine; ensure proper sanitation levels and report issues.
• Wash, store, and rotate all tableware, cookware, glassware, and utensils.
• Hand-wash pots, pans, and specialty items using a 3-compartment sink.
• Maintain a clean and organized dish room, kitchen, restrooms, and prep areas.
• Keep up with linen and trash removal, sweeping, mopping, and breaking down boxes.
• Assist with receiving deliveries and restocking shelves.
• Support the team with flexibility to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
