Job summary

Great Western Dining at Western Texas College is seeking a friendly, energetic Dishwasher to join our team on a part-time schedule. Mon - Fri 2 pm to 8 pm, with duties including washing dishes, maintaining clean dining and kitchen areas, and assisting with deliveries.

No extensive experience is required; we value reliability, good communication, and a willingness to follow food-safety procedures. This role supports fellow staff and helps ensure smooth shift transitions in a fast-paced dining

Qualifications

• Minimal work experience.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Exceptional time management skills.
• Ability to stand or walk for 8-hour shifts and lift at least 25 pounds.
• Willingness to comply with all food safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, pots, pans, and flatware to ensure clean supply.
• Prepare dining areas and kitchen for next shift by cleaning and restocking.
• Clean machines and appliances used in the kitchen, such as coffee makers, pots, and pans, mixers, etc.
• Unload and store deliveries.
• Sweep and mop floors; handle spills.
• Rinse garbage cans and take out trash.
• Support other staff with additional tasks as needed.

Dishwasher

Great Western Dining at our Western Texas College location is looking for fun and energetic people to join our team.

Part Time, Mon - Fri 2 pm - 8 pm

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the availability of clean dishes by washing dishes, pots, pans, and flatware.
• Preparing dining areas and kitchen for next shift by cleaning and restocking dining areas and cook stations.
• Cleaning machines and appliances used in the kitchen, such as coffee makers, pots, and pans, mixers, etc.
• Unloading and storing deliveries.
• Sweeping and mopping floors, especially in the event that items are broken or spilled.
• Taking out the trash and rinsing garbage cans.
• Supporting other staff members by assisting with other tasks, as needed.
