Job summary

BSEG (Building Systems Engineering Group) is seeking a Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineer with a BS or BAE in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering. Join a full-service consulting firm delivering mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection services across diverse markets.

You will design and manage project work for commercial, healthcare, multi-family, retail, industrial, ecclesiastic and institutional facilities.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering required or preferred.
• 2+ years’ experience in plumbing/fire protection engineering preferred.
• EIT or PE registration a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Design and project work for plumbing and fire protection systems.
• Develop plans for commercial, healthcare, multi-family, retail, industrial facilities.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and clients throughout projects.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of a Plumbing/ Fire Protection Engineer include, but are not limited to:

• Plumbing systems include domestic water distribution, hot water boilers, sanitary and storm systems, natural and medical gas system.
• Fire Protection systems include fire protection sprinkler system, fire pumps, and inert gas fire protection system.
• Project work includes the following market sectors: commercial, healthcare, multi-family, retail, industrial, ecclesiastic, and institutional facilities.

The Person
