Job summary

Thomas Young Group in Allentown, PA is seeking a Plumbing and Fire Protection Designer with 2+ years of industry experience to join our growing MEP team. You will support design work across healthcare, hospitality, commercial, and institutional projects, collaborating with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is proficient with BIM and CAD software, communicates clearly, and thrives in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience using BIM and CAD software.
• CPD, EIT, or PE certification preferred, but not essential.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Someone who works well within a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the design of plumbing and fire protection systems across a range of projects.
• Working closely with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders throughout project delivery.
• Helping ensure designs meet local codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Carrying out site visits, inspections, and reporting as needed.
• Assisting with project documentation and contributing to a strong safety focused culture.
