Job summary

PTSG Water is seeking a Plumbing Supervisor to lead a team of 12-14 plumbers across London and the Midlands, based primarily at the Corby office with a mix of site visits and remote working.

You will coach and develop the team, manage rosters, and oversee procurement and quality checks while maintaining high safety standards on all projects.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds Level 2 Plumbing certification is required.
• G3 Unvented Hot Water Systems certification is required.
• RPZ ticket is desirable but not mandatory.
• Experience supervising plumbing teams and water hygiene projects.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise up to 14 plumbers, including coaching and competency assessments.
• Manage team schedules, rotas, sickness and annual leave.
• Handle daily procurement and PO processes; oversee vehicle stock.
• Perform technical checks on completed work and provide hands-on support.
• Assist in recruitment and onboarding of new starters.
• Oversee complex on-site plumbing works, ensuring safety and quality.
• Attend Corby office regularly for admin and team coordination.

Job description

As a Plumbing Supervisor, you will lead a team of 12-14 plumbers across London and the Midlands. You will be based out of our Corby office, splitting your time between office-based operations, site visits, and remote working.

• Directly supervise up to 14 plumbers. This includes coaching and mentoring, conducting competency assessments, creating/maintaining a training matrix, and driving the professional development of your team.
• Manage team schedules and approve rotas, sickness, and annual leave.
• Handle daily procurement by raising Purchase Orders (POs) and overseeing comprehensive vehicle stock control.
• Perform technical checks on completed jobs, conduct "toolbox talks," and provide hands‑on technical assistance to Account Managers.
• Assist in the recruitment process and provide hands‑on onboarding for new starters.
• Oversee complex plumbing works on‑site, ensuring all projects meet our high standards of quality and safety.
• Regularly attend the Corby office to manage administrative requirements and team coordination.

To be successful in this role, you will need a City & Guilds Level 2 in Plumbing (or equivalent), G3 Unvented Hot Water Systems certification and ideally RPZ ticket. You should have proven experience in water hygiene plumbing and supervisory experience or team lead capacity.
