Duties
- Provide on-site leadership and supervision for plumbing installation and construction activities from mobilization through project completion.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily activities of plumbing crews, subcontractors, and other field personnel.
- Ensure plumbing work is completed according to project plans, specifications, applicable codes, quality standards, and project schedules.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, plumbing plans, specifications, schematics, and other technical documents.
- Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and work sequencing to maintain project schedules and productivity.
- Work closely with Project Managers, other Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to coordinate project requirements and resolve field issues.
- Monitor installation quality and identify and resolve field conflicts or constructability concerns.
- Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal plumbing codes and regulations.
- Maintain a strong understanding of Idaho plumbing requirements and ensure work is performed in accordance with applicable licensing and code requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, workmanship, safety, and compliance with project requirements.
- Enforce company safety policies and promote a safe, organized, and productive jobsite.
- Assist with material planning, procurement coordination, scheduling, inspections, testing, punch-list completion, and project closeout.
- Communicate project progress, manpower needs, scheduling concerns, and field issues to Project Management and company leadership.
- Maintain positive working relationships with clients, inspectors, subcontractors, vendors, and other trades.
- Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to plumbing field personnel.
Skills & Qualifications
- Current Idaho Plumbing Contractor license or the ability to obtain an Idaho Plumbing Contractor license within 30 days of hire is required.
- Strong knowledge of commercial and/or industrial plumbing systems, installation practices, codes, and regulations.
- Previous experience supervising plumbing crews and field construction activities.
- Ability to read and interpret plumbing drawings, construction plans, specifications, and schematics.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to effectively coordinate multiple crews, trades, priorities, and project deadlines.
- Strong understanding of jobsite safety requirements and best practices.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality, productivity, and accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to identify field conflicts and develop practical solutions while maintaining project schedule and quality.
- Willingness and ability to travel to project locations as required.
