Barin Group, a self-performing industrial general contractor, seeks a Project Coordinator/Junior Project Manager to assist the Project Manager and Superintendent across coordination, scheduling, and cost tracking for industrial construction projects in the Northwest region. The role emphasizes timely submittals, RFIs, and closeout tasks on-site in Moses Lake, WA.

Ideal candidates bring 2–4 years of industrial construction experience, strong communication, and proficiency with project controls

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of construction processes, field operations, and project management practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, scopes of work.
  • Familiarity with project controls, scheduling, cost tracking, RFIs, submittals, procurement, closeout.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Manager and Project Superintendent with overall project coordination, execution, and administration.
  • Coordinate subcontractor activities, material deliveries, equipment needs, and project logistics.
  • Manage and track submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, and other project documentation.
  • Maintain accurate project reports, meeting records, cost documentation, logs, and forms.
  • Review drawings, specs, contracts, and scopes to identify requirements and impacts.
  • Assist with development of schedules, short-term planning, and milestone tracking.
  • Participate in cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and pay applications.
  • Support subcontractor buyout, contract admin, procurement, and coordination of materials.
  • Prepare and track change orders and cost documentation with PM.
  • Communicate status, field conditions, costs, and decisions to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Support closeout activities, turnover docs, warranties, and final cost data.
  • Promote compliance with safety, quality, and project procedures.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Assist the Project Manager and Project Superintendent with overall project coordination, execution, and administration.
  • Coordinate subcontractor activities, material deliveries, equipment needs, and project logistics to support field operations and project schedules.
  • Manage and track submittals, shop drawings, Requests for Information (RFIs), and other project documentation to support timely review and resolution.
  • Maintain accurate and timely project reports, meeting records, cost documentation, logs, and required project forms.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and scopes of work to identify project requirements, conflicts, discrepancies, and potential impacts.
  • Assist with development and maintenance of project schedules, short-term planning, subcontractor coordination, and critical project milestones.
  • Participate in project cost control, including budget tracking, commitments, forecasting, pay applications, and identification of potential cost impacts.
  • Assist with subcontractor buyout, scope review, contract administration, procurement, and coordination of materials and equipment.
  • Prepare, review, and track change requests, change orders, subcontractor changes, and supporting cost documentation in coordination with the Project Manager.
  • Communicate project status, field conditions, schedule concerns, cost impacts, and required decisions to project leadership, subcontractors, vendors, clients, and design professionals.
  • Participate in project meetings, coordinate follow-up items, and help ensure project commitments and required decisions are completed in a timely manner.
  • Provide direction and coordination to Field Engineers and project support staff on assigned project responsibilities as appropriate.
  • Support project closeout activities, including punch list coordination, turnover documentation, warranties, final cost documentation, and contract requirements.
  • Promote compliance with company safety standards, quality expectations, contract requirements, and established project procedures.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Working knowledge of construction processes, field operations, project documentation, and project management practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, scopes of work, and other project documents.
  • Familiarity with project controls, including scheduling, cost tracking, pay applications, RFIs, submittals, change management, procurement, and closeout.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate project and financial documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with project teams, subcontractors, vendors, clients, and design professionals.
  • Working knowledge of construction standards, codes, safety requirements, and industry practices applicable to assigned projects.
  • Ability to identify project risks, field conflicts, cost impacts, and schedule concerns and communicate issues proactively to project leadership.
  • Proficiency with standard office software and construction management platforms.
  • Ability to independently manage assigned project responsibilities while collaborating effectively with Project Managers, Superintendents, Field Engineers, and other project team members.
Compensation and Experience

$45-$55 per hour, based on relevant industrial construction experience, qualifications, and demonstrated project management capabilities. This position requires at least 2-4 years of industrial construction experience.
