Job summary

Barin Group is a self-performing industrial general contractor seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will collaborate with Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and design professionals to ensure safe, efficient field operations and successful project delivery.

  • 5+ years of industrial construction experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of construction processes, field operations, project management, and contract administration.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and manage construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and other project documents.
  • Working knowledge of project controls, including schedules, budgets, cost tracking, RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, and closeout.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage assigned construction projects from preconstruction to closeout.
  • Coordinate closely with Project Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, design professionals, and internal project teams to support safe and efficient field operations.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules, including subcontractor activities, material deliveries, equipment needs, and critical project milestones.
  • Manage submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, and other project documentation to ensure timely review, response, and distribution.
  • Maintain accurate and timely project reports, cost documentation, forecasts, meeting records, and required project forms.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and other project documents to identify scope requirements, conflicts, and potential project impacts.
  • Monitor project costs, commitments, change orders, and budget performance, and communicate potential cost impacts to project leadership.
  • Manage procurement and coordinate materials, equipment, and subcontractor resources necessary to support project schedules and field operations.
  • Prepare, review, and track change documentation, including subcontractor changes, owner changes, and supporting cost information.
  • Communicate project status, field conditions, schedule impacts, and project risks to clients, project leadership, and other appropriate stakeholders.
  • Conduct and participate in project meetings, document action items, and follow through on project commitments.
  • Support estimating, preconstruction, buyout, and subcontractor scope coordination as needed.
  • Lead project closeout activities, including punch list coordination, turnover documentation, warranties, and final project requirements.
  • Promote compliance with company safety standards, quality expectations, contract requirements, and established project procedures.

Responsibilities and Duties

Qualifications and Skills
  • 5+ years industrial construction experience
  • Strong working knowledge of construction processes, field operations, project management, and contract administration.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and manage construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and other project documents.
  • Working knowledge of project controls, including schedules, budgets, cost tracking, RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, and closeout.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple project priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with clients, project teams, subcontractors, vendors, and design professionals.
  • Working knowledge of construction standards, codes, safety requirements, and industry practices applicable to assigned projects.
  • Ability to identify project risks, field conflicts, cost impacts, and schedule concerns and communicate issues proactively to project leadership.
  • Proficiency with standard office software and construction management platforms.
  • Ability to work independently, make sound project decisions, and collaborate effectively with Superintendents, Field Engineers, and other project team members.

Compensation and Experience

$55–$65 per hour, based on relevant industrial construction experience, qualifications, and demonstrated project management capabilities. This position requires at least five years of industrial construction experience.
